Product Description
This lamp looks striking against dark-painted walls; romantic, elegant, yet whimsical.
Very rare, extremely elaborate 3-tiered Fun Lamp in the (1964) style of Verner Panton. This particular lamp was purchased in the early 1970s. These futuristic lamps are one of the most sought-after modern lighting designs at auction today. The Fun Lamps give modernism a decorative dimension like functional jewelry for interiors. The cascading design is composed of hand-cut mother of pearl discs which make a wonderful tinkling noise when stirred by a breeze. This lamp is in near mint condition (*), fully operational, features 3 bulbs, one in each circle of shells, and hangs from the ceiling. (Make your own statement by using different color bulbs.) Original Verner Panton designs have been listed in auctions and designer stores for up to $36,000.00. Prices for NEW Replicas today run from $6000 up to $18000!
* There is a single strand of shells that came loose in moving but all the shells are still with the lamp. It can be easily restored and restrung if desired, however, the missing strand is not noticeable at all.
